  • Talby McKay

    CHAIRMAN & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

    Mr. Talby McKay is an entrepreneur and holds multiple patents and intellectual property. Talby has founded several successful businesses in the renewables industry. Talby has over 25 years’ experience in the biomass industry as an operator, manager and company owner. He entered the industry as part of a family-based company in Alberta, Canada. Along with multiple trades licenses, he has competently managed all aspects from field to office.

    Talby also developed a data collection and deployment company, Aerogrid, as well as the world’s first Nature Based Carbon Credit Company, Direct Generation. Talby founded an innovative Insurance company, Carbonsure, and a bio-carbon manufacturing company, Enriched Reaction. Talby has been able to assist the industry as it increasingly validates environmental concerns and the need for renewable resources. He attempts to create cost-effective ways of managing and mitigating hazards. His expertise in the renewable industry and his creation of novel products have shaped and changed global biodiversity and climate change.

  • Joshua Summerland

    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Mr. Joshua Summerland has a career in professional accounting spanning 40 years including senior roles as CFO, CEO and President. Business experiences outside of Canada have included the United States, Chile, Guyana, China, Sudan, Cyprus, and Tanzania.

    Mr. Summerland has a focus of developing, mentoring and leading successful teams to meet business objectives. On a personal side, Mr. Summerland participates in community and strives to be environmentally aware.

    Mr. Summerland has joined ISB Group as CFO and has been involved since 2021.

  • Manuel C. Menendez III

    ADVISOR, ASIA

    Mr. Manuel C. Menendez III, better known as “Manny,” is a veteran international businessman and entrepreneur currently serving on the ISB Board of Directors. He has been successfully doing business in China and the Asia Pacific region for more than 30 years. Manny is the founder of MCM Group Holdings, Ltd., 8M8 LLC, organizations specializing in international business development and trade, and whose activities are focused on the Asian Pacific region with special emphasis on the People’s Republic of China.

    Manny was active in China’s return to the world markets in the late 1970’s. In the 1980’s, Manny was President and CEO of Great Eastern Development Ltd. (GED). GED was credited by the Asian Wall Street Journal with successfully completing the first US-China Equity joint venture for a major Fortune 100 company. He was also involved in the early years with establishing business activities with China Inter-national Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC). Manny advises numerous U.S. and multi-national companies, as well as small and medium-sized businesses, in their China/Asia Pacific Rim initiatives. Manny has also advised governments on policies related to sustain-able economic development and tourism.

    Manny is involved in many humanitarian endeavours and has assisted in delivering medical supplies to those in need all over the world and in recent years to Haiti, China, North Korea, Japan and Vietnam. He is a former United Nations special advisor to WHO and UNEP.

    Manny’s China involvement is best summed up by a quote from United States Senior Senator Daniel Inouye: “I was most impressed with your involvement with US-China Economic relations. You should consider writing a book about your experiences. You were part of History in the making.”
